UN World Oceans Day 2021 is on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Steven Adler organized one of the first events today about The Digital Twin Ocean.
The idea is to collect data about the ocean, create Google Maps equivalent for our large blue vastness, design National frameworks to onboard markets and companies to help create the Digital Twin of our Oceans.
Speaker and panelists spoke about collecting data to represent marine biology, chemistry (ocean concentration, acidification), and more. About creating standards to collect data and evaluate progress every year when we swim along this decade.
The key takeaway for me was "We need to start collecting and representing this data to understand what we have now, be able to save versions of this reality, and, in the coming years, be able to identify and compare to what we have then!".
On a different note, the work below makes me remember and acknowledge the pursuit of (detecting) bodily feelings.
